Abstract

انطلاقا من المبدأ القائل بأنه" لا يجوز للحاضر أن يستهلك المستقبل" جاءت هذه الدراسة لتسليط الضوء على طبيعة العلاقة بين الأمن البيئي والتنمية المستديمة ،خصوصا وان قضايا البيئة والتنمية المستدامة تحتل الريادة في السياسات التنموية الوطنية والدولية ،في ظل ما تواجهه البيئة اليوم من تحديات وأخطار ، لأن معظم الاستثمارات الاقتصادية والممارسات الفردية والبرامج الإنمائية كثيرا ما تهمل البعد البيئي لدى رهانها على الوصول إلى أقصى مستويات الرفاه والإشباع . غير أن إدخال البعد البيئي في مجال التنمية أدى إلى تغير مفهومها من مجرد استغلال للموارد الاقتصادية النادرة لإشباع الحاجات الإنسانية المتعددة والمتجددة، إلى تنمية قابلة للاسمرار تستهدف الإيفاء باحتياجات الحاضر دون الجور على قدرة الأجيال القادمة على تحقيق متطلباتهم.
